About Levitra (Vardenafil)

Rating of sales:

Also known as:  Vardenafil.

What Levitra is and what it is used for

Levitra contains Vardenafil, a member of a class of medicines called phosphodiesterase type-5 inhibitors. They are used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men, a condition which implies difficulties in getting or keeping an erection. Levitra will only work when you are sexually stimulated.

How to take Levitra

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Take Levitra about 25 to 60 minutes before sexual activity. Swallow one tablet with a glass of water. Do not take Levitra more than once a day.

Missing a dose

Levitra is used only when needed, therefore missed doses are not relevant. Do not exceed the doctor's recommended dose. Do not take a double dose of this medicine.

Overdose

If an overdose occurs and you are feeling unwell, you should seek emergency medical attention or contact your healthcare provider immediately. Do not exceed the doctor’s recommended dose. Do not take more than one Levitra pill a day.

Storage

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F) and away from excess moisture and heat. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date. Keep out of the reach of children.

This drug is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (i.e., high blood pressure in the lungs) and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (i.e., high blood pressure in the lungs secondary to blood clots). Q: What is Levitra indicated for?

A: Levitra is a powerful medication used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Levitra helps men achieve and keep a strong erection in response to sexual stimulation. It relaxes muscles found in the walls of blood vessels and increases blood flow to particular areas of the body.

Q: What side effects can cause Levitra?

A: Some common side effects of Levitra are facial flushing, stuffy or runny nose, migraine, vision problems, and dizziness.

Q: How does Levitra work?

A: The active ingredient Vardenafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor (PDE-5 inhibitor), stimulates the release of nitric oxide (NO) in the corpus cavernosum in response to sexual stimulation. Nitric oxide activates the lyase enzyme which results in increased levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). This relaxes smooth muscles in blood vessels of the corpus cavernosum, enhancing blood flow and thus inducing an erection.

Q: Can women take Levitra?

A: It is not recommended for women to take Levitra unless necessary and prescribed by a doctor.
